FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQ covers how AffiliationList works, how programs are submitted and approved, and how we keep listings accurate.
If you have questions not covered here, please contact us.
What is AffiliationList?
AffiliationList is a directory of affiliate programs.
Programs can be browsed by category and compared using key terms such as commission rate, cookie duration, and payout details.
Who is AffiliationList for?
AffiliationList is useful for creators and marketers looking for products to promote, and for founders and developers who want to list an affiliate program and reach new partners.
How are programs added to AffiliationList?
Programs are submitted by the community (founders, developers, and users).
Before a listing goes live, submissions are checked to ensure they fit the directory and include clear, consistent details.
More details on submission guidelines can be found on the Terms page.
Are programs added manually?
Most listings are submitted by the community.
Some programs have also been added manually to help build the directory.
Program owners can claim a listing to manage updates after ownership is verified. More details are available on the Terms page.
How is the information verified?
Submitted details are reviewed and, when possible, compared with the official program page.
Affiliate terms can change, so the provider’s website should always be checked before promoting a program.
How often is the directory updated?
New programs can be added at any time.
Existing listings are updated when changes are submitted or when issues are reported.
Outdated or incorrect info: how can an update be requested?
An update request can be sent with the listing URL, the corrected details, and a source link (ideally the official program page).
Submitted updates are checked before being applied.
Can an affiliate program be submitted?
Yes. If an affiliate program exists, it can be submitted for review.
If it fits the directory and includes the required details, it will be published.
Is submitting a program free?
Yes. Submitting a program is currently free.
Are affiliate links used on AffiliationList?
Not at the moment. In the future, the project may be monetized through partnerships or promoted placements.
Sponsored listings will always be clearly labeled.
Can a listing be promoted or featured?
There is no promoted or featured option at the moment.
For promotion or partnership requests, contact @anthovdo on X.
If promoted placements are added in the future, they will be clearly labeled.
Additional rules will be published on the Terms page.
Does being listed guarantee approvals or sales?
No. Listing a program does not guarantee approvals, traffic, or sales.
See the Terms page for important notes and guidelines.
What makes a good affiliate program?
Start with the basics: commission rate, cookie duration, payout frequency, and minimum payout threshold.
Then review restrictions (ads, coupons, email), refund rules, and whether the product matches the audience.
New to affiliate marketing: where to start?
Start with a niche that is already being written about, pick 1-3 programs with clear terms, and create useful content (tutorials, comparisons, use cases).
Adjust based on what converts and what the audience responds to.
Where can listing terms and guidelines be found?
Listing terms and submission guidelines are available on the Terms page.
It covers what can be listed, what may be rejected, and other important notes.
